Well things have definitely been busy around here, so I've been slow in posting anything. Time to catch up!
First, I saw this scrapbook page on my friend Debbie's Blog and had to case it. Instead of photos, I used the Gallery frame set and made it a documented family tree. I drew the trunk freehand and just tore the cardstock to make the hill / grass. Thanks Debbie for the inspiration!
Supplies:
Cardstock: Mellow Moss, Chocolate Chip, Ruby Red, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Sizzix - Little Leaves, Timeless Type Alphabet
Ink: Ruby Red
Next, I have some swaps from a meeting at my upline's house.
So after we finished the swap, we had to have Colleen show us how to make the flower from her card, then that led to Dale showing us the tissue paper flowers and it was a flower frenzy from there! The flower punch will definitely be on my next order!
One of the things we have been occupied with lately was the school musical Beauty & The Beast. This was my daughter's first time in the Drama Club & she loved it! She was a narrator in both performance nights. The kids were fantastic!
The other fun thing was an overnight trip to the USS New Jersey in Camden. Of course the weekend we go there was that lovely flooding - but as they told us, there was no safer place than on a ship! I give those Navy folks credit, I definitely could not live on a ship - 1 night was more than enough for me! We had a blast and got a behind the scenes tour. The Veterans were the tour guides and great with the kids. My son's favorite part was working in the galley and serving the chow line! If you ever get a chance to do one of these overnights, take advantage & go!
Well, that's all for today - thanks for stopping by!
