The kids & I were wandering around the store the other day & I saw some patriotic decorated stars that I really liked. Then I heard that little voice that said " you can make these". Twenty minutes & a few sheets of cardstock and here is the end result. These are made with the 5 Pointed 3-D Star Sizzix die cut and the Star Punch. I used Night of Navy, Real Red & Whisper White cardstock.
I cut the cardstock into 5 1/2" x 2 3/4" strips. You need 3 red strips, 2 navy strips & 4 white strips for each star. Die cut them out with the sizzix machine, then cut the white ones in half & cut off the small flap on the end. Glue together all the red & navy pieces, then add your white pieces & stars.
It adds a little bit of color for the holiday & it cost me less than $3 in cardstock to make!
very cute and i am loving the new blog layout!
